Charlie was rescued on 7th January 1994. A poor stallion donkey left on his own with no food or water ( a very angry young man). He was castrated on 20th January to enable him to have a happy life mixing with other donkeys. His operation was not straight forward and the next 4 days were critical with the vet checking on him twice a day and also treating his very bad ringworm. He recovered well and was eventually put in the field with the rest of the donkeys on 25th January. He did not mix well to start with, thinking he was still a stallion he wanted to fight all the males and mate the females. We overcame all this and Charlie is now the boss donkey of his group and an absolute angel to handle. A realy good outcome and a joy to own.
