How you can help the Sanctuary
Ways in which you may be able to help
If you wish to help the donkey sanctuary continue its work, you can do so in a number of ways and not all of them costly.
Helping at events
We will hold an Annual Open Day the next one will be announced on the web site as soon as the building work is finished and the council allows us to open. Helpers at this event and other fund raising events if they are in your area will be of great assistance there is always a lot to do, please let us know if you can spare any time and which area you can help in.
Donating prizes, bric a brac
Items that can be sold or used as tombola prizes such as unwanted gifts, toiletries, books, toys etc, anything that you may not want that are in good condition and can be used to raise funds for the sanctuary are most welcome. Perhaps you could bring them when you visit or if passing drop them in, a phone call beforehand would be appreciated so that someone is around to accept any gifts.
Organising you own event
You may like to consider raising funds for the sanctuary by hosting your own event such as a car boot sale, coffee morning, book sale or a sponsored event. If you have any ideas please contact us we can supply leaflets for you to distribute. We are grateful for any help no matter how small everything goes directly to the animals on the sanctuary and is very much appreciated by everyone.
Adopting
For £20 each animal per year you can adopt one or more of the donkeys or other animals that live at the sanctuary, you will find an adoption form on this website or just contact us and we will send you all the details.
When you adopt you will receive a laminated personalised certificate with a photograph of the animal you are adopting. You will also be sent a current newsletter and we do hope you are able to visit the sanctuary to meet the animal you are adopting, but please phone first to arrange a visit.
